I am certain there is too much certainty in the world.

Anime Expo 2010
Jul 25th

Welcome to Los Angeles, the biggest city in the USA that I can drive through at full tilt. It’s also home to the 19th year of Anime Expo, the biggest anime convention in the United States. Last year they brought in 44,000 unique fans over the course of 4 days. This year they’re back at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with events in the nearby Nokia Theater, Plaza, JW Marriot, and Club Nokia. The convention boasted a wide variety of Japanese and American guests, events, panels, and dealers.
Anime Expo typically offers the most industry guests and events of US conventions, as it is mostly industry supported as opposed to fan run conventions. Many US market companies also make announcements during the convention. 2010 is also the first year since Michael Lattanzio was hired as the CEO of the Anime Expo head organization Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA). Attendance suggests this is also the first year since 1993 that the California event has failed to grow. Anime Expo did not release a unique count for 2010, only a turnstile count (4 day pass = 4 people) of 105,000.

Kud Wafter Preview
Jun 3rd
June is here and that means less than a month ’til Kud Wafter hits Japanese shelves. If you haven’t already pre-ordered it, Key is giving you another 13 minutes and 27 seconds to think about it. An official 720p preview is now up on Youtube! At least do it to hear Kudo say “Hello.”
Kud Wafter NicoNico Live
Apr 3rd
Today viewers and attendees of the Kud Wafter live event, 主題歌生披露!V.I.P 第8回 クドわふたースペシャル生放送!, got a first look at the opening video. As a bonus, there was also a live performance by Kudo voice actor Suzuta Miyako of the opening song “one’s future”. Not to mention the adorable outfit she wore for the whole 2 hour live event. I’m sure she was exhausted. I managed to capture the whole event, but some kind people already uploaded both to Youtube. I am piss poor at encoding anyways. Videos after the break!
Narcissu -Side 2nd- English
Mar 31st

It’s done! The long awaited Narcissu prequel is now available, thanks to Agilis and Denpa. Download it for Linux, Mac OS X, or Windows after the jump.
Update: For a short while, I’ll be mirroring Narcissu 2 for Windows. (At least a week.)

Narcissu 2; Real Soon Now
Mar 26th

Setsumi is back in the prequel to the popular visual novel from Stage Nana. Narcissu -Side 2nd- is really no new news, everyone on 4chan has known about it since it came out back in 2007.
However, the English release is another story. Agilis announced a release date today. I’m sure Dan Kim is currently rolling in his… bed.
Despite obvious doubt, the English translation will hit the streets 4/1/2010.
Kud Wafter PC!
Mar 25th
A waffle sized pc for you waffle fans is coming! In what might be a new trend, anime netbooks are popping up; preloaded with loot of your favorite heroine. In this case, Noumi Kudryavka from Little Busters! and Kud Wafter!
For 69,800 yen ($752) you get a decently spec’d 10-inch netbook. Windows 7, 320GB drive, 2GB memory, 802.11N. Only downside is about 3.5hrs battery life, don’t know about other options. The selling point of course is the Kudo coating. The back of the laptop has artwork and you get plenty of included wallpapers and sound effects. Enjoy all those wafu and waifu sounds, even Russian.

Coming April 3rd~ More Info & sounds.
Kudo After! (Kud Wafu~ta)
Dec 29th

A surprise announcement from the busy people at Key this Comiket! クドわふタ~ or Kud Wafter; maybe Kudo Wafter, as I can’t tell if that bat is a place holder for an “o”… but probably pronounced Kudo Wafu~ta anyways. Wafu~ coming from the heroine’s favorite phrase Wahoo! or わふ~ (wafu~). Kud Wafter is a spin-off from Little Busters! continuing on Kudryavka Noumi’s scenario. No real details as of yet, but I assume the game will be voiced like it’s predecessors. Planned for release in summer 2010! Hit up the link below for a bit of a trailer.

Key fans know no limit
Mar 6th

Some say “recession” is a term Key fans don’t understand. Others doubt the legitimacy of their bidding. Gather what you will because there is no explanation.
Last weekend the Kanon – 10th Anniversary Memorial Festival took place. As such, like after most events, goods hit yahoo auctions. And unsurprisingly, certain things go for a bit more than you’d typically pay.
First a complete set of the industry Key goods (event value $360) goes for around $1000. Including, most notably, a special Itaru Hinoue artbook ($80) and OTSU:Blasterhead album ($25).
Not too far fetched? Maybe I’m missing something. But then there’s this. Currently an event only, Na-Ga drawn T-Shirt of the Little Busters heroine Naoe Riki going for over $20,000 on auction. In addition to a Kudo shirt (also by Na-Ga) that sold for $7780.
